Hi, I'm Ryan Perry
A Photographic artist
On June 6, 2021, I suffered an ischemic stroke while living in Colorado. I spent 43 days in the hospital due to right-side paralysis, global aphasia, and severe apraxia. I lost the ability to speak and comprehend language, but my intellect remains intact. My comprehension has improved, and I am now able to say a few words and phrases. Since having my stroke, I have had a lot of time to dedicate to photography. I am making slow progress, but I hope to continue making strides daily. My therapy is art.
“Believe you can, and you’re halfway there.”
-Theodore Roosevelt
“I have no idea what I’m doing but, I know I’m doing it really, really well.”
— Andy Dwyer
